Nature
Since 1975 the park of the Domaine has been protected as a Site Classé. What this status holds together is not easily said in one sentence: the interplay of ancient forest, open meadows, springs and quiet water that surrounds the vines like a green setting.
The forest
Centuries-old trees line the estate and provide a home for countless species. Since taking over we have planted more than two thousand new trees — long-term work for a resilient place.
Meadows & hedges
Flowering strips, wild hedgerows and permanent cover between the vine rows form what we think of as the immune system of the Domaine: a living balance that keeps pests in check without our intervention.
The wildlife
Deer, foxes and many bird species share the place with the vines. Anyone standing among the vines early in the morning meets them regularly — the pheasant between the rows, the fire salamander in damp corners, the hoopoe, and with some luck the shy genet.

The proof
Organic, HVE4 and the honey
We work to organic certification and to HVE4, the highest level of the French environmental certification — audited in four areas: biodiversity, plant protection, fertilisation and water. The certificates are the verifiable form of this practice.
How cleanly we work here also shows in the honey of our bees: it was tested in the laboratory for more than 360 substances — 0.00 mg/kg, no residues. More on this under Honey →
